R&D Engineer

The team is growing (again!) to respond to our strong growth and we are currently looking for an R&D Engineer.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

– Design and improve the next generation of ChrysaLabs optoelectronic sensors;

– Perform simulation and optimization measurements of an optical sensor based on spectroscopy;

– Perform simulation and optimization measurements of an electromagnetic sensor;

– Design prototypes, test benches and debugging tools,

– Create the code (Python) necessary for the control of electronic test benches and the processing of data;

– Document the results obtained and analyze the conclusions;

– Communicate with suppliers of optical components, optoelectronics and optical service;

– Work closely with the rest of the R&D team, consisting of scientists and engineers in optics, electronics, mechanics, physics, embedded software and soil scientists;

– Use collaboration tools to promote effective teamwork (GitLab, Slack, project manager, etc.).

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

– University degree in physical, electrical, electronic, chemical engineering or any other combination of education and relevant experience

– 5 years of experience in engineering, product development, project management related to optics or electronics;

– French and English (spoken and written)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

– Python development experience (2 years+)

– Experience in optoelectronic sensor design

– Experience in optics, spectroscopy, analytical chemistry and/or RF design

– French and English (spoken and written)

– Notions of agronomy – asset
